Holistic Nutrition: Nourishing Your Body, Mind, and Spirit

Holistic nutrition is about more than just what you eat—it's about understanding the unique needs of your body and providing it with the nourishment it requires to thrive. By combining the latest scientific research with time-honored traditions, holistic nutrition focuses on creating personalized health plans tailored to you as an individual.

Through a comprehensive assessment of your current health, lifestyle, and goals, we work together to develop a plan that may include nutrient-dense whole foods, targeted lifestyle adjustments, and, when needed, supplement recommendations. This holistic approach helps re-balance your body’s systems, supporting optimal well-being and sustainable health.

Every person is different, and your nutritional needs should reflect that. Let’s work together to unlock the power of whole, natural foods and mindful lifestyle choices to restore balance and vitality to your life.

FOCUS OF CARE

  1. Pre-surgical balancing: Have you been told to lose weight before a planned surgery? Do you want to balance your body systems before a planned surgery for optimizing your recovery?

  2. Post-surgical recovery: Surgery places significant stress on your body, impacting various systems. A well-planned nutritional strategy can play a crucial role in your recovery by reducing stress-related effects, supporting the healing process, boosting energy levels, and enhancing the health of your muscles, organs, and digestive system.

  3. Post breast cancer treatment: Cancer treatments such as surgery, radiation, and chemotherapy can place significant stress on the body, often leading to physical and metabolic imbalances. A nutrient-rich diet not only helps restore balance but also supports the immune system, enhances energy levels, promotes tissue repair, and helps manage side effects like inflammation, fatigue, and digestive issues. Prioritizing nutrition is a vital component of recovery and overall well-being during and after treatment.

Working with your Holistic Nutrition Professional

Appointments are divided into three crucial initial visits.

1. Initial Assessment & Consultation: Prior to this appointment you will be emailed a lifestyle assessment form which details your health concerns as well as your medical health history and lifestyle questionnaire. At this first appointment your Registered Holistic Nutritionist professional will ask questions to gain insight into your main health concerns, the results of your initial questionnaire and provide you with some initial education.

2. Initial Assessment/consultation Follow-up (IAF): This appointment will be booked for approximately two weeks after your initial visit. Your R.H.N. will have done a detailed analysis of your initial assessment results and in this visit you will receive your action plan that includes food and lifestyle recommendations that center around your main health concerns.

3. Follow-Up Visit (FUV): This appointment is booked four to six weeks later to assess results of your action plan. Similar to visit #1, a new lifestyle questionnaire will be completed prior to this visit and analyzed for any successes or changes needed.

These three visits are required for all new clients. During this 8-10 week time period free video/phone consultations for check-ins and questions are encouraged. Total price for all three sessions $375.00 +HST which can be divided equally and paid at each visit ($125.00 +HST).

Thereafter, you may book Regular Follow-up visits (RFU) at your convenience. Cost of regular follow-up $80.00 +HST.

If you have not had an appointment within a year of your last follow-up, it is recommended that you contact your R.H.N. before booking.
